Welcome the new project volunteer!


Volunteers from SCI Switzerland organize theatre evenings for children from families seeking asylum and for children from Switzerland once a month at the transition centre Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz (SRK) in Bern-Länggasse.
The Gender Effect is a training of trainers on gender education. During one week, 27 young professionals from all over Europe and beyond came together to explore, learn from and develop skills within the various aspects related to the topic of gender.
The Global Education Week encourages to raise awareness of the wider world, to reflect our place in it, as well as our possibilities to make it more equitable and sustainable, acting respectfully and responsibly.
On 17 August, SCI India celebrated the 144th birthday of Pierre Cérésole, the founder of SCI. They did so SCI-style, with actions!
In January 2022, a Camp Coordinator Training took place in Harare, Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Workcamps Association (ZWA) hosted 27 current and future camp coordinators and group leaders from across Africa. It was the kick-off of the project Grassroots change: Volunteering, leadership and emancipation through hands-on work and mentoring, coordinated by SCI Catalunya. Read more about this training.
The 36th Annual General Meeting organized by the SCI KL (subdivision under SCI Malaysia) was held over ZOOM on 28th June 2020. Among important matters of decision making, a new team of committee members were elected for the presiding year. Dato Lawrence Cheah whose first volunteering experience at SCI dates back to the 1960s participated in the meeting as well as a guest speaker and shared his perspective.
